For adults wanting to improve their workplace and every day English language skills. Classes provide instruction in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Registration is required.

During Open Hours MAKE @ East is available for patrons to work on their own projects while a trained PPLD staff member is present. Equipment and supplies are available on a first come basis.

Join us for open-ended play! We’ll have fun toys to enhance your child’s early literacy learning. Meet new friends and have fun playing together.

Shake those wiggles out and have some fun! This 30-minute program consists of music and movement activities and a story. For two and three-year-old children, with a favorite adult.

Yoga class for beginners and intermediate level practitioners with local yoga instructor Svetlana Nudelman. Please bring a yoga mat and wear comfortable clothes. (Yoga blanket, yoga strap, and two yoga blocks recommended.)

Craft a beautiful cardinal from a few strips of paper to make a delightful winter decoration. Designed for school-age kids, this come-and-go program takes place during open hours in the ERC on select Mondays.

Title: Intro to Mindfulness and Meditation

Make your own Minecraft masterpiece or a magical modern memento! You will draw your own mosaic design, or copy an example, and fill it in with square stickers.  For ages 9 - 12.

Children practice reading and building fluency by reading to a Paws-to-Read dog.

* To enroll into an ESL (English as a Second Language) class, you need to attend the mandatory orientation.
* Orientation will take TWO to THREE hours to complete. Not necessary to pre-register, just show up.

This class will help adults without a high school diploma prepare to take the GED, HiSET, or TASC high school equivalency exams. Registration is required. New students must attend GED/HiSET/TASC Orientation to register and take a placement test.

Join us for a 45 minute class with Philip Selva, Certified Tai Chi Instructor.  If considering this class please consult your physician prior to participation in this program. 

Creative programming designed for adults. Learn to sew a basic stitch and make a small hand warmer with felt, rice, and lavender. Choose from heart, circle, or square shapes.
