Program Description

Event Details

It's National Embroidery Month! Celebrate embroidery as a form of creative expression by learning a new technique: Hardanger.

Hardanger is a traditional needlework from Norway. Worked on even-weave fabric, this geometric style incorporates many different techniques including pulled/drawn threads, cutwork, needleweaving, and satin stitching. It is traditionally worked in white thread on white fabric.

This class is a beginner level course introducing klosters, satin stitch, blanket stitch, cut and withdrawn threads, needleweaving, pulled eyelet, and dove's eyes.

When you register, you are registering for all the dates listed above (4 Monday morning sessions from February 3 - 24).
