For adults wanting to improve their workplace and every day English language skills. Classes provide instruction in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Registration is required.

During Open Hours MAKE @ East is available for patrons to work on their own projects while a trained PPLD staff member is present. Equipment and supplies are available on a first come basis.

Shake those wiggles out and have some fun! This 30-minute program consists of music and movement activities and a story. For two and three-year-old children, with a favorite adult.

Babies from birth to 12 months, with a favorite adult, enjoy songs, bouncing action rhymes, and sharing a book together. Each interactive session gives babies the opportunity to hear lots of language and play with other babies. Space is limited.

Learn the basics of using a sewing machine, including threading, filling a bobbin, and executing basic stitches, as we create custom canvas tote bags. Ages 14+. All materials provided.

A flow-style class intended for all levels of students to improve strength, flexibility, and balance. Breath work and meditative centering activities included. Taught by local yoga instructor Annie Adams.

Speak English groups are informal English language conversation groups for adults with intermediate and advanced English skills. Each group meets once a week for two hours. Classes are free and no registration is necessary.

Speak Russian is a conversation program for non-native speakers and learners of the Russian language. All levels are welcome! Short videos, games, and discussion of Russian culture are on the agenda.

To attend any GED class, you have to come to the orientation first.
*Orientation will take two days to complete.

Join an active group of writers at Library 21C to take your writing to the next level. We spend the first hour and a half of the meeting on writing critiques, and either a discussion or a writing prompt for the last half hour.
