Do you have a child between the ages of 0-32 months? Do you wonder how much you talk with your child? LENA Start is a 11-week, virtual program that will increase your child’s language development. Families will receive a “talk pedometer” that counts the number of words, conversational turns, and electronics your child hears in a day. We will meet weekly to give you tips on how to increase conversational turns. For more information contact Evan Childres, echildress@ppld.org Pre-registration REQUIRED.

THIS 11-WEEK VIRTUAL PROGRAM INCLUDES A MANDATORY IN-PERSON ORIENTATION SESSION AT ONE OF THE PPLD LIBRARIES. COORDINATORS WILL CONTACT REGISTERED FAMILIES WITH DATES, PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND THE ORIENTATION SESSION, YOU CAN ATTEND A FUTURE SESSION. IN-PERSON ORIENTATION WILL BE OFFERED APRIL 7th at 6:30 p.m. YOU WILL BE ASKED TO RSVP OVER EMAIL. 

LENA Start is offered on different days. These are separate cohort sessions. You may only register for one session series. Open to residents of El Paso County and Teller County only.
