Culturally responsive reading: close, critical reading through the lens of culture, with illustrations of the process using excerpts from several different texts by authors such as Toni Morrison, Salman Rushdie, and Amy Tan.  A Taste of PILLAR II is a monthly series of classes offered by PILLAR Institute for Lifelong Learning and PPLD at various library locations.
