​​Toss it? No Way! Fix it at Repair Café!  

​Together with our Repair Café volunteers, you will disassemble, troubleshoot, and possibly repair your broken items. Save money, help the environment, and learn repair skills with your local community!  

​We can help with:  

  • ​Garments (mending only and it must be unsoiled)  
  • ​Jewelry  
  • ​Sewing machines  
  • ​Small appliances such as vacuums  
  • ​Small electronics such as radios and lamps  
  • ​Wooden Items  

​​We can also help with bikes, but it requires special equipment so please let us know in advance if you need to bring one in.  

We cannot help with:  

  • ​Alterations of garments  
  • ​Large appliances (stoves, refrigerators, etc.)  
  • ​Vehicles  
  • ​Computers, tablets, and phones  
  • ​Any item that is deemed hazardous to people, the equipment, or the space

​Our Guidelines  

  • ​Carry-in items only.  
  • ​You must stay with your property while waiting and during the repair. No drop-offs and only one item will be worked on at a time.  
  • ​Repair Trainers offer no guarantee of items being repaired by them or with their assistance and are not liable if objects repaired do not work properly at home.  
  • ​Repair Trainers are not obliged to reassemble disassembled appliances that cannot be repaired.  
  • ​You will need to sign our agreement before our volunteers can assist you.  

​Disclaimer: Please know you bring your items to be repaired at your own risk. Because repairs are made by unpaid volunteers, there may be risks. Neither the facilitators of Repair Cafés nor the Repair Trainers are liable for any loss or damage that may result from advice or instructions, for the loss of items handed over for repair, for indirect or consequential loss, or for any other kind of loss resulting from repairs made during Repair Café. Volunteers will offer a diagnosis and suggested remedies for broken items, repairing items when possible and otherwise explaining what parts the patron may need to obtain to complete the repair.  

​Walk-ins are always welcome, but please register so we know what you want to bring, and we can make sure a volunteer with the necessary skills will be available to help you.
