Modern Approach to Silk Painting with Jan Janas

This is a 3-day class from 10am to 3pm on Tuesday 7 June, Wednesday 8 June and Thursday 9 June.

Working with jewel-toned steam-set dyes on silk, students of all painting levels will experience the many-faceted techniques used with this medium. Janice's approach is loose, intuitive, and joyful when brushing the flowing liquid dye across the shimmering silk cloth.

Teacher: Jan Janas

Jan Janas has a degree in art education and had been teaching art to adults for 35 years. She is co-author of four art books on silk painting published by North Light Publishing and Schiffer. Janas' artwork has been displayed in museum, in major corporate buildings, collected by private individuals, and has been hung in many national and international juried art shows. Janas resides in Lakewood, Colorado and opens her studio by appointment for sales of her work and to teach private lessons. Janas travels and teaches art throughout the United States.
