Event Details

This project, inspired by Jeff Koons’ iconic Balloon Dog series, is just plain fun! Kids will create their own brightly colored balloon dog from a series of ovals by adding a few swipes of paint to give their dog the illusion of round, shiny form. And, since Koons’ colorful sculptures are large enough to be displayed outdoors, a whimsical cityscape is the perfect background for the collaged dog. Ages 5 - 12.

We know there are all kinds of kids with all kinds of needs, so if your child might benefit from some sensory accommodations like fidget items or noise-reducing headphones while in the library or at a program, ask at the Children’s Desk for our Sensory Accommodations Kit!
