Staged with minimal set, six actors, and plenty of high energy hijinks, Theatreworks' 75 minute production centers Shakespeare's beautiful language, and action packed story. Prospero the sorcerer calls up a magic storm to strand a slew of nobles on his island and sets out to regain his seat as Duke of Milan, using magical servants, elaborate masques, and perhaps even his own daughter to do so. Join us to see spirits, shipwrecks, sorcery, and more; in this condensed, family friendly take on Shakespeare’s magical tale.
This event will be held behind the East Library, at George Fellows Park, 5711 Tuckerman Dr.
