Start your journey to a new career today! 

Pikes Peak Library District is offering a five-week training program that helps you learn the skills you need to become a qualified prep cook or line cook.

The program outcome is employment. Classes focus on professionalism, proper food handling, and proper cooking methods. 

Space is limited. Program application is required and does not guarantee acceptance.

Applications close Sun., Sept. 25. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance the week Mon., Oct. 3. There is a mandatory informational session that will include a short placement test for language and math skills. This test is purely to determine what additional in-classroom support may be needed. Test results have no impact on whether or not you will be accepted to the program. 


Program Information

Mon., Oct. 10 - Fri., Nov. 11, 2022 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Orientation is Mon., Oct. 10 and graduation is Fri., Nov. 11. 

Miss no more than 2 classes.
