Library laptops are available for use in our downstairs meeting room. Library staff will be on hand either to assist with personal projects from job skills to Microsoft Office products, or provide practice materials on computer basics.

Learn the uniquely Chinese dance-like Jian (straight sword) and DaoI (broadsword) forms. The Jian sword form is fairly meditative, while the Daol sword form is quite energetic.

PPLD Adult Education Tutor

Explore art techniques including painting and drawing for adult artists. Basic drawing and painting materials provided by the Friends of the Rockrimmon Library.

Interpreting the information in records is not always as simple as it seems, and a mis-step can send your research down the garden path. This class will look at common issues and mistakes that need to be avoided.

Cheyenne Mountain Library's Fiction (And More) Book Club is open to all! We will be discussing the book The Past Came Hunting by Donnell Bell. Feel free to invite friends! Snacks will be provided per member sign up.

Come celebrate winter weather with us! Your child will help build an indoor snowman and make paper bag snowflakes to take home! For ages 5-12.

Help with library programs, events, and decorate the Teen Space at Penrose! Teen Volunteer applications required. Ages 12-18 only. 

Learn to play taiko with us! The Taiko Society will be teaching a 2-hour workshop on this style of Japanese drumming. You can see some of their performances at http://www.taikosociety.com.

Laptops are set aside for teen use only in the downstairs Community Room.

Activities for school-age children

Your child will learn to make beautiful works of abstract art using tempura paint and yarn! Recommended for ages 5-12.

A space to come after school where you can hangout, play, create, or even study! Light after school snacks provided. Occurs every Thursday! Ages 8-12.

Keep your hands and arms warm this winter while channeling the 80s with these totally sweet fingerless gloves.  All supplies provided, no sewing experience necessary.  Ages 9-15. Registration Required.
