PPLD Wellness Team Meeting

Weekly meeting of the marketing team. 

Walk-in appointments available with social worker, Alicia Kwande, for assistance with resources and VI-SPDAT assessments.

This class will help adults without a high school diploma prepare to take the GED, HiSET, or TASC high school equivalency exams. Registration is required. New students must attend GED/HiSET/TASC Orientation to register and take a placement test.

For adults wanting to improve their workplace and every day English language skills. Classes provide instruction in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Registration is required.

One and two-year-old children, with a favorite adult, participate in nursery rhymes, music and movement, and listen to a few short books.

Shake those wiggles out and have some fun! This 30-minute program consists of music and movement activities and a story.  For ages 2-3 accompanied by a favorite adult.

Did you know that block play increases a child's language development? Drop in to build, balance, stack and crash with a variety of different blocks and other educational toys.

Meet Kathy's Critters and get very close to a variety of animals, including sugar gliders, hedgehogs, snakes, and reptiles! Add to the fun by making your own unique animal craft. For ages 3-12.

These informal gatherings for seniors offer information sharing, networking, discussions and coffee.

All are welcome. No registration required.

Summer is here, and it is time for Big Kids and their siblings, to come and listen to slightly longer stories.

After stories, stay for some fun, hands-on activities, crafts, etc.

If you registered for a Maker in Residence: Textile Art program, or have been working on a collage piece for the Textile Art Project, you are welcome to attending this virtual Q&A session!

Learn some of the basic principles of the programmng language Python and begin to build your own interactive quiz! This is part two of a two video series.

This adult group discusses all kinds of subjects such as philosophy, religions, politics, morality, and the common threads among humanity. All are welcome to attend this well-moderated and thought-provoking group.

Explore, kneed, roll, and mold with playdough in this drop-in class. For ages 0-5. 

Teen programming

During Open Hours, Make II is available for patrons to work on their own projects while a PPLD staff member is present. Equipment and supplies are available on a first come basis.

Join other intermediate to native speakers to practice your German conversation skills!

Please note this group is not the best fit for beginning speakers.

Let your child practice reading and build fluency by reading to a Paws to Read dog.

Practice reading aloud and improve fluency by sharing a story with one of our lovable Paws to Read therapy dogs. All abilities welcome in this drop-in children's program.

* To enroll into an ESL (English as a Second Language) class, you need to attend the mandatory orientation.
* Orientation will take TWO to THREE hours to complete. Not necessary to pre-register, just show up.

Fountain Library Crafts: Cat Planters

Teen volunteers help children in grades K-5 with reading.

Group badging class where you will learn how to use the Laser Cutter / Engraver.
