PPLD Adult Education High School Equivalency (HSE) program offers free classes for adults. Using trained instructors, we will help students who need to obtain GED, HiSET, or TASC credentials, which are the alternative to a high school diploma.

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide offers free tax preparation help to anyone, and if you’re 50 and older and can’t afford a tax preparation service we were made especially for you.

Imagine, engineer, and build an animal using the Rigamajig, a large-scale collection of wooden planks, wheels, pulleys, nuts, bolts, and ropes that allow kids to follow their curiosity while honing hands-on skills.

In this 2 hour group badging class, learn how to use PPLD’s CNC router. After the completion of this class, participants will be able to use the library’s CNC on their own during Open Hours in the makerspace at Library 21c.

Do you have a magnetic personality? You will enjoy making these fun magnetic bottle caps and magnetic poetry words.  For ages 9-12.

Children will build their own electronic crash test dummy using plastic eggs, LEDs, and batteries. Then, they will get to test out and build creations to protect their egg dummy. Don’t let the dummy’s light go out! Ages 7-12 recommended.

Tween Twist Thursday is for children 9-12 years old. Explore the power of wind and air by making your own balloon-powered race car and flying helicopter! This program takes place in the Children’s Activity Room at East Library from 6:30 p.m.
