In the event of inclement weather (rain, snow, or extreme temperatures), the program will be modified and moved indoors.

SET TIME

Claudia Swenson will present facts about her charming Alpacas and how their versatile fiber is used. Visit with these amazing creatures after a short program (at most venues). Ages 5 – 12.  

In Computer Basics Part 3, learners will continue where Part 2 left off.

Join us for open-ended play! We'll have fun toys to enhance your child's early literacy learning. Meet new friends and have fun playing together. For ages 0-5 years old. No registration required.

Senior Lunch and a Movie

You bring your lunch and PPLD will bring the movie! Join us and other patrons as we enjoy a monthly movie during lunch. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Registration is not required but is encouraged.

Silver Key Service Extension (Grab N' Go Meals Calhan) provides delicious and nutritious meals to eligible diners, promoting good health.  

Speak English groups are fun English language conversation groups for adults with intermediate and advanced English skills.

Each group meets once a week for two hours to practice English.

Learn some concepts of fish conservation and fly fishing with professional fly fishing guide Kenny Romero. Practice some casting in this class that is specifically geared for children ages 7 – 12.

PPLD's  community resource supervisor will be onsite the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month at Cheyenne Mountain Library to assist patrons. 

Teen program

Create a seascape (jellyfish, bubbles, and other aquatic creatures) using spray paint and stencils. Wear clothing you are okay with getting messy. Ages 12-18.

Learn to code with Google! Using an evaluated curriculum from the computer scientists at Google, youth will learn basic computational thinking concepts through block coding.

Practice reading aloud and improve fluency by sharing a story with one of our lovable Paws to Read therapy dogs.

Children may practice reading skills by reading to a Canine Good Citizen certified dog.
