Are you interested in researching your genealogy, but aren't sure where to start? Join us for an introduction to basic genealogy research strategies including getting started, organizing research, and selecting and searching for records.

For children of all ages and their caregivers. Talk, sing, read, write and play together in a format appropriate for young children. Share books, stories, rhymes, music, and movement. 

Interested in learning to sew? Learn the basics of using a sewing machine, including threading, filling a bobbin, and executing basic stitches, as we create custom tote bags. All materials will be provided.

Be inspired to create your own designs on cloth. We will use Ashanti Kente Cloth as inspiration, but will be creating our own patterns and arrangements.

Volunteer teen training

Teens must have completed an interview and been approved to attend training.

NORTHSTAR COMPUTER SERIES: Computer Lab  

Learn the basics of sewing, including threading the machine, winding the bobbin and basic machine troubleshooting. You will leave the last class with a nautical themed colorblocked zippered pouch and maybe a bonus project or two!
