PPLD Adult Education Tutoring. 

Kids can practice reading aloud and improve fluency by sharing a story with one of our lovable Paws to Read Therapy dogs!

It’s never too early to help your child prepare for success in Kindergarten! Join us for this event where you can discover fun ideas to enhance your child’s early literacy, aimed at kids ages 0 - 5.

During Open Hours MAKE @ East is available for patrons to work on their own projects while a trained PPLD staff member is present. Equipment and supplies are available on a first come basis.

In this full-day workshop, we will learn the basics of Python, a computer programming language. We’ll start the day with lectures on the basic concepts of the language. In the afternoon we will break out into groups to work on projects.

Community Members are invited to help PPLD and FFC8 build up our digital archive of school building photos by bringing in any photos they may have, or claiming photos that have already been donated to PPLD archives.

Join our mythological themed WARP (Winter Adult Reading Program) Kick Off Party!  

Participants will have a chance to sign up for WARP and enjoy light refreshments, and mingle with other participants!

Get together weekly to socialize and work on any knitting, crochet, sewing, or quilting that you might be interested in.

Restorative Yoga sessions, taught by local Yoga Instructor Leigh Schultz-Spector, are designed to focus on restoring, relaxing, and resolving clarity of both the body and mind.

Please join members of The Embroiderer's Guild of America for an afternoon sit & stitch! Members will be available to discuss their embroidery work, answer questions, and share their love of needle arts.

Black Chefs in the White House - an entertaining and informative look at the African Americans who have fed our First Families since the days of George Washington.  A Black History month program.

Group badging class where you will learn how to use the Laser Cutter / Engraver.

Your child will paint, string, and wrap while creating a beautiful mobile that can be displayed in your home. For ages 5-12.

Join us for a 20-minute babywearing dance program.  For ages 6 weeks to as-old-as-you-can-WEAR your baby! Please bring a babywrap and water.
