Training

For adults wanting to improve their workplace and every day English language skills. Classes provide instruction in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Registration is required.

Learn about the tools to use to start or grow your business or look for a job.

This will cover industry outlook, competition, vendors, and target markets. It will also cover financing options, marketing and advertising.

Library laptops are available for use in our downstairs meeting room. Library staff will be on hand either to assist with personal projects from job skills to Microsoft Office products, or provide practice materials on computer basics.

Learn the uniquely Chinese dance-like Jian (straight sword) and DaoI (broadsword) forms. The Jian sword form is fairly meditative, while the Daol sword form is quite energetic.

PPLD Adult Education High School Equivalency (HSE) program offers free classes for adults. Using trained instructors, we will help students who need to obtain GED, HiSET, or TASC credentials, which are the alternative to a high school diploma.

Looking for a fun way to enjoy books and meet new people? Join the Sand Creek Book Club! Every month we dissect stories, share ideas, and learn from each other. Light refreshments served.

PPLD Adult Education Tutor

Regular meeting to plan advertising efforts 

Explore art techniques including painting and drawing for adult artists. Basic drawing and painting materials provided.

Join us for an after school adventure: jigsaw puzzles, table games, art projects and more. This program is for school aged kids and their siblings.

Kids can practice reading aloud and improve fluency by sharing a story with one of our lovable Paws to Read Therapy dogs!

Is math homework getting you down? Are finals freaking you out? Do you need to brush up before the ACT, SAT, or GED? Our experienced math tutors can help you improve your grades and take the stress out of math.

Your child will enjoy a shared reading of Hooray for Fish! by Lucy Cousins.

Join us after school to experiment with art and science! 

Your child will paint, string, and wrap while creating a beautiful mobile that can be displayed in your home. For ages 5-12.

A space to come after school where you can hangout, play, create, or even study! Light after school snacks provided. Occurs every Thursday! Ages 8-12.

Speak English groups are informal English language conversation groups for adults with intermediate and advanced English skills. Each group meets once a week for two hours. Classes are free and no registration is necessary.
