 Women of Influence Panel: Disability Awareness Month

Join Pikes Peak Library District (PPLD) and Colorado Springs Business Journal (CSBJ) as we celebrate individuals that are providing positive influences in the areas of culture, business, and leadership in El Paso County. These local leaders will discuss their reinvention and visions for the future of those in the Disability Community.

This month’s panelist:

  • Chef Brother Luck - Award-winning chef who has earned a reputation through appearances on Chopped, Beat Bobby Flay, and Top Chef. Owner of local resturants Four by BrotherLuck and Lucky Dumpling and writer of the memoir, No Lucks Given
  • Megan Scremin - President & CEO of Special Olympics Colorado that is responsible for more than 16,000 athletes
  • Dr. Jana Burke - Trainer, consultant, and resercher who specializes in ADA employment. Founder of Mariposa Professional Services
  • Mackenzie Beauvais-Nikl - A Special Olympics Athlete for the past twelve years and competes in soccer, basketball, snowboarding, track, tennis, softball, and volleyball.She is the first-ever Special Olympics athlete, globally, to serve as Board Chair of a Special Olympics Program.
