Description
Join Ruth as she teaches you a series of basic and advanced stitches using her book Modern Hand Stitching.
You will start with simple stitches and build on those stitches to create more complex stitching.
Experience the freedom of stitching without boundaries as you play, experiment, and explore.
Learning Outcome:
You will be creating a 'brag book' of stitching that will be both a beautiful piece of stitching artwork as well as an excellent reference resource.
Schedule of Classes
This class takes place once a month over 4 months
First Wednesdays of the month from 6-9 pm
Sept 7, Oct 5, Nov 9, Dec 7
Kit Fee: $35 payable to instructor at first class
Kit includes:
- Base fabric
- Assorted threads and fibers
- Assorted needles
Optional Student Supply List:
- Thimble if you use one
- Small sharp scissors
- Reading glasses if needed
- Additional lighting if needed
- Needle threader if needed
- Copy of the book "Modern Hand Stitching" by Ruth Chandler
