Event Details

Join us for an evening of Colorado history! To celebrate Colorado History Month, we'll host a live chat while streaming the Rocky Mountain PBS documentary, Suffrage. While watching the documentary, you can chat with PPLD's Special Collections staff.

Suffrage, 28 minutes

On November 7, 1893, Colorado became the first state in the nation to grant women’s suffrage by a single issue popular vote, and the following year the first three female state legislators were elected. Meet the dedicated Colorado women that led this charge. Today, Colorado has the highest percentage of women in the state legislature.

Space is limited, so register in advance! There's no cost to participate; all registrants will receive a Zoom link and instructions (via email) in advance.
