Event Details

Join us for an evening of Colorado history! To celebrate Colorado History Month, we'll host a live chat while streaming the Rocky Mountain PBS documentary, Ladies of the Mines. While watching the documentary, you can chat with PPLD's Special Collections staff.

Ladies of the Mines, 27 minutes

High altitude, groceries delivered by mule train, pack rats and spoiled Thanksgiving turkeys are just a few of the challenges faced by ladies living in Colorado's remote mining towns at the end of the 19th Century. Learn the stories of three inspirational women who held their own while surrounded by a harsh landscape and un-lady-like company.

Space is limited, so register in advance! There's no cost to participate; all registrants will receive a Zoom link and instructions (via email) in advance.
