A good poem is one that doesn't make you choose how to feel about it. Come with your own vivid memories and your unique voice and experiment with creating poems thick with detail and full with exploration of your senses. By picking out specific details and working with authentic emotions, we can create poetry that resounds deeply with our readers. We'll work on golden details, $5 verbs, and comparisons that make your poetry thick with imagery. You'll leave this session with tools to energize your writing and ideas for moving forward with your writing.
Materials you will need for this session:
- A notebook or journal to write in without having to worry about making mistakes
- A pen that feels good in your hand
