The Pikes Peak Library District is proud to present the 2023 Manitou Springs Library Lawn Concert Series! Concerts will be on Wednesdays in June and July, 6 - 7:30 p.m.

This season's concert series will be held outdoors in the lawn of the former Manitou Springs Carnegie Library, 701 Manitou Ave., located at the southwest corner of Manitou Avenue and Pawnee Avenue.  Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy the music of this summer concert series.

The fifth concert in the series will feature the music of The Mitguards.  From their website:

Chris and Deb Mitguard have been playing music throughout the West for over 20 years.  Known for their wicked banter, tight harmonies, and carefully crafted compositions, The Mitguards’ original songs span a myriad of styles. Says Bill Reed of the Colorado Springs Gazette, “In his (Chris’) songwriting, Mitguard resists the urge to turn roots music into a reach for some mythical, idyllic past, and goes for a more relevant and immediate impact."  Chris’s fluid guitar is complemented by Deb’s unique and charming mandolin and accordion. The Mitguards are constantly expanding and stretching their musical repertoire, striving to balance familiar favorites with fresh, new material.

Find out more about Chris and Deb Mitguard on their website themitguards.com.

Depending on state and local directives concerning the covid pandemic, facial coverings and/or social distancing guidelines may be observed.

In case of inclement weather, concerts will be cancelled.

The Pikes Peak Library District thanks the Manitou Music Foundation (MMF) for their support of the 2023 concert series.  Find out more about the MMF at their website, manitoumusicfoundation.org.
