Join PPLD for weekly movie discussions. Each week we will feature several movies from PPLD’s streaming movie service, Kanopy, then host curated discussions about the selected movies. Please note that some movies selected contain adult themes and are rated R. You can view the movie anytime leading up to the discussion, and the discussions will take place using Zoom. We’ll supply the movie list, you supply your own popcorn!

 

Little Stones: Women Using Art to Create Positive Change in their Communities (2016, 88 min., NR)

This documentary unites the personal narratives of four women around the world using art to create positive change in their communities. From a graffiti artist speaking out against domestic violence in the favelas of Brazil to a dancer rehabilitating sex-trafficking survivors in India, each of these women is contributing a stone to the mosaic of the women's movement through their art.

Winner of Best Documentary at the Vail Film Festival and at the Philadelphia Jewish Film Festival.
