Description

The Keep Colorado Springs Queer open mic has been providing a space of art and community for the local LGBTQIA2+ community since 2016. We are back in person this May with an open mic, open to anyone who identities as LGBTQIA2+, followed by a feature performance by Denver musician, Gingy!

Gingy is known as a queer black gender-fluid artist who specializes in r&b, soul, indie, and folk. Every now and then you’ll spot them rapping. Like a beautiful chameleon she can change her shades to fit any genre. Chicago born & bred, they have the culture, the vocabulary, the talent, and, the charm to surprise and satisfy.
Currently she finds herself in love with the moon, mountains and with being a Mile High (Denver, CO) resident. She writes it all. Poet. Talent. Truth.
Gingy can serenade, mystify, enthrall, or inspire you to throw that ass back. She brings with her skills on the drum set, bass guitar, keyboard, or original instrumentals for her to melodically slay on top of.
Never a dull moment with them. Lead singer of LiveSounds
