Event Details

Learn the basics of machine sewing and create a simple project. You will learn to wind a bobbin, thread the machine, and navigate the interface of a computerized sewing machine. Practice your new skills and basic stitches with a quick project. With these skills, you can make any number of simple sewing projects at makerspaces at East and Sand Creek libraries, as well as Library 21c. No previous experience required. All materials and equipment provided. Ages 9 – 12.
This class is only for tweens ages 9 – 12, however we have sewing classes for ages 9 and up as well. You can find other sewing classes for teens, adults, and seniors at all three makerspaces.
All participants will need to have a makerspace waiver signed by an adult guardian in order to attend this class or use the makerspace. The signer must be present and show an ID for the waiver. An adult guardian will need to be with the participant in the makerspace at all times.
All participants must have their own library card. Please contact one of the makerspaces for more information.
