Event Details

The 2023 Pikes Peak Poetry Summit theme is "Art is a Bridge to New Perspectives." This year we are celebrating poetry across Colorado with features from all over the state. Full details of the event here.

This course is designed to take your poetic ideas and turn them into songs. Because music is a universal language I will teach and work with you, not just on how to rhyme, but to utilize words, vocal tone, and body language to bring your messages and stories to life in a way that can be heard, felt, and understood by anyone, anywhere around the world.

Bio: Dominque DMINQ Robbins is an LGBTQ R&B artist coming to you from Rocky Ford, CO. Dominque began his music journey at the age of two years young singing and showing an interest in music. Dominque grew up singing in church, playing multiple instruments in church and school and even getting opportunities to play and sing  for many gospel and Christian artists. After leaving the church Dominque began writing and producing music on his own and in 2010 released his first mixtape under record label Confidential Records.  Since then Dominque has released a total of four mixtapes, over 20 singles, two albums and currently working on album number three as well as producing, writing, and singing for other artists around the country. Dominque now holds the title for being the first black and lgbtq radio show host on La junta, Colorados radio station Thunder Media with the show Soulful Expressions. He has done all of this and still found time to open the first arts and entertainment production company and recording studio in Rocky Ford named ART MATTERS PRODUCTIONS, which has now been in business for one year and is now a Certified LGBTQ Business Enterprise registered under the National LGBTQ Chamber Of Commerce.

The workshops are provided at no cost. All workshops are 45 minutes in duration. Please prepare change for the metered parking.
