Orion, the Hunter, is one of the few constellations that looks like what it is supposed to be. It is not hard to envision a hunter holding a shield and a sword, defending himself against a charging Taurus the Bull. Constellations tell stories. And as participants in this hands-on activity, you will create a glow-in-the-dark constellation of your own and tell the story behind its meaning. Presented by the Space Foundation Discovery Center. Recommended for ages 5 - 12.
Note: We know there are all kinds of kids with all kinds of needs, so if your child might benefit from some sensory accommodations like fidget items or noise-reducing headphones while in the library or at a program, ask at the desk for our Sensory Accommodations Kit!
