Join us for a poetry workshop geared towards 4th and 5th graders taught by Hear Here Poetry, a local poetry education and advocacy nonprofit that encourages young people to actively listen, write, and share. During the workshop, we'll explore what ingredients are needed for a successful poem: brevity, feeling, figurative language, emotional engagement, and your own unique perspective! We'll create short and meaningful poems that we can share together. Older students are welcome to attend, but will not be eligible to enter the poetry contest.
