Program Description

Event Details

The 2023 Pikes Peak Poetry Summit theme is "Art is a Bridge to New Perspectives." This year we are celebrating poetry across Colorado with features from all over the state. Full details of the event here.

In this workshop, we will focus on diamanté poems about the earth. Participants will pick earth related nouns and select adjectives and verbs that relate to that noun and build the poem.

Hello! My name is Ali and I use They/Them pronouns. I was born in Colorado but am fortunate to have traveled a lot through my childhood due to the military. I started doing poetry in Colorado Springs at the age of 15 and have continued to do so over the past 13 years. I’m a loving vegan and hope to inspire people to try more plant foods. In my spare time I like to hike, write and spend time with family.

The workshops are provided at no cost. All workshops are 45 minutes in duration. Please prepare change for the metered parking.

Seats are limited to 50 people for this workshop. Ages 13 and older.
