Story Creations For Older Adults : Accordion Fold Storybook

Explore the art of storytelling through a variety of hands-on visual art projects for older adults and thier familes in this four-part series. Rooted in the shared power of storytelling across diverse experiences, each session fosters creativity, self-expression, and personal reflection through different materials and techniques. The series invites senior participants to blend paper and fabric collage with engaging storytelling formats such as puppetry, pop-up cards, and themed journals. Projects will be tailored to participant interests and group dynamics while remaining accessible for beginners through advanced skill levels. You may attend one or all the classes in the series. All materials are provided. Registration is required.

This week, join us and presenter Patti Smithsonian to create an accordion folded storybook. Learn to fold a handmade storybook to enhance your storytelling. Using collage materials and oil pastels, you will learn how to create something beautiful to display or use as a small book.
