Teacher: Yolanda Ortiz . I have been Zentangling for a little over 9 years. I found Zentangle right after my mother passed away. I was grieving and needed something to help me work through this enormous grief I was experiencing. I went to a local bookstore and found a book about Zentangle. I bought it and a sketch book. I started out just using pens I had around the house. I began to journal on the back of my Zentangle pieces and dating them. As I continued to Zentangle I was realizing that I felt better. I wasn't an artist and didn't need to be. There are No Mistakes in Zentangle. These small works of art I was creating made me happy. They were personal and comforting. Zentangle has changed my life in a beautiful way. Becoming a CZT seemed like a natural step for me to share this beautiful method with others. Give it a try! You might surprise yourself!
